Matching ring numbers
Check highlighted ring numbers against both originals. This comparison uses the selected pages and supported ring formats. A shared number is a lead to verify in the pedigree.

How to compare racing pigeon pedigrees
A ring number can connect two bloodlines. Here’s how to check it against the originals.
- Start with the pedigree page. If an auction PDF opens on a cover or a bird photo, switch to the page with the family tree.
- Compare the full ring number. Include the issuing prefix, year and serial, plus the club code where applicable. Two birds with the same name may have different rings.
- Trace the matching bird. Check whether it appears on the sire or dam line and how far back. Blank branches and unreadable rings leave gaps in the comparison.
Automatic scan formats Printed BE, NL, FR, GB, AU, IF, CU, DV and CHN rings. The manual entry accepts additional fully specified ring IDs. Sharply photographed charts work best.
